Targets & Insights

The Targets & Insights section of your dashboard is where you can set and monitor your Objectives, KPIs, and Metrics. These are important tools for tracking the success of your business and marketing activities ensuring that you are on track to achieve your goals.

Objectives

Objectives are SMART goals that you are aiming to achieve. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. These goals can be set up as part of your overall strategy and can also be assigned to specific areas of your strategy, such as Properties and Campaigns.

KPIs

KPIs, or Key Performance Indicators, are the measurable targets that you want to monitor to gauge the success of an objective. KPIs can be mapped to multiple objectives and vice versa, giving you great flexibility and eliminating the need to duplicate KPIs.

Metrics

Metrics are measures that are constantly shifting and they tell you how you are tracking in relation to a given KPI and its relevant objectives. Similar to KPIs, there is a many-to-many relationship between metrics and objectives. There are three different types of metrics that can be monitored in MDC:

  • Integrated Metrics: to apps including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram

  • In-App Metrics: These are metrics that are tracked in your marketing workspace. For example Number of Activities Created, or Action Status Changes.

  • Data Entry Metrics: Some metrics can't always be tracked by online, Store walk-ins. These can still be entered into MDC and tracked, there are also some calculators available to assist.
