A guide to your tactical activities in My Digital CMO

Marketing activities are the central point of your marketing workspace, representing repeatable units of work that engage with customers and strengthen your brand presence.

Marketing activities, often referred to as tactics, can range from publishing an Instagram Reel weekly to sending out a monthly newsletter. They are linked to properties, which are in turn connected to marketing channels.

The Activity Card

When you create a marketing activity, an activity card is created. This card serves as the hub for managing all aspects related to that activity, including its delivery schedule, relevant personas, tasks, and created content and more.

Key Features of Marketing Activities

  1. Assign to a Team Member: Delegate responsibilities by assigning the activity to a team member, ensuring accountability.

  2. Link to Relevant Customer Personas: Connect the activity to the appropriate customer personas to target your audience effectively. This helps you visualize your customers journey in the marketing mix dashboard.

  3. Create a Delivery Schedule: Set timelines for when the activity will take place, helping to keep your marketing activities on track. Scheduled activities will appear in your marketing calendar.

  4. Collaborate with Team Members: Facilitate teamwork by adding comments, @mention other team members to share insights, and provide feedback directly on the activity card.

  5. Link Relevant Documents or Resources: Attach any pertinent documents, links, or additional resources to enrich the activity context.

  6. Create Content: Begin drafting content directly from the activity card, streamlining the creation process.

How to Create a Marketing Activities

There a many places that you can create marketing activities throughout your marketing workspace. These include:

  1. Templates: Look out for the template button and select from our library of over 200 marketing activities. You can also create your own templates here.

  2. AI Assistant: Have your AI Assistant suggest marketing activities for you. Look for the Sparkle icon.

  3. Quick Entry: If you know what activity you'd like to add, enter it directly bypassing options 1 or 2.

There are also where activities can be added. These include:

From the parent Marketing Property

Within your marketing property, scroll to the activities section, or create a marketing activity directly from the top menu.

From the Marketing Mix Kanban Board

Within your marketing mix you can add Activities from the top or bottom of each funnel stage. This will add the new activity directly to the chosen funnel.

From an Marketing Campaign

If you are working on a campaign, click Activities from the menu and add from the Campaigns Kanban Board.

From the Marketing Calendar

From your marketing calendar, click the 'Add' button and select 'Activity'
